Today, the United States Senate voted to confirm Center for American Liberty founder Harmeet Dhillon to serve as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights.
In December, President Trump nominated Dhillon to lead the Civil Rights Division at the Justice Department. On February 26, 2025, Dhillon shined at her confirmation hearing impressing members with her three decades of litigation experience defending civil liberties and multiple victories at the United States Supreme Court.
Center for American Liberty CEO Mark Trammell released the following statement—
“I couldn’t be more proud of our Center for American Liberty founder, Harmeet Dhillon. Harmeet is a brilliant attorney, a fierce advocate for civil liberties, and is principled to the core. This is a great day for America.”
