July 23, 2025 – Today, the Center for American Liberty celebrates another major victory in its fight against radical gender ideology and the protection of America’s children. In an internal announcement shared by CEO Greg Adams, Kaiser Permanente confirmed that it will cease all gender surgeries on minors under the age of 19, effective August 29, 2025.
As reported by Billboard Chris, In his email, Adams referenced increased federal scrutiny on so-called “gender-affirming care” for minors, noting that other health systems across the country have paused or discontinued such procedures in response. Following consultation with medical experts, Kaiser Permanente decided to implement a pause, reinforcing the growing consensus that surgical treatments for gender transition should not be performed on adolescents.
Mark Trammell, CEO of the Center for American Liberty, said, “Kaiser Permanente’s decision is a monumental step toward protecting vulnerable youth. For too long, children have been subjected to life-altering surgical procedures at an age when they lack the capacity for informed consent. Our ongoing litigation with courageous detransitioners such as Chloe Cole, Luka Hein, and Clementine Breen has exposed the irreversible harm caused by these medical interventions. Kaiser’s pause affirms what our cases have repeatedly argued: children deserve protection from harmful medical practices promoted by radical gender ideology. Rest assured, the Center for American Liberty will not stop advocating for vulnerable kids. Its lawsuits will continue until these barbaric practices are shut down permanently!”
The Center for American Liberty extends its thanks to President Donald Trump and all advocates whose tireless efforts contributed to this victory. This decision marks significant progress in our ongoing mission to protect the rights and well-being of American families and their children.
